About Us

IDEHER (Investigadores de Enseñanza de la Historia en Red) is a proposal open to any teaching staff and researchers of History teaching who wish to share information, experiences, reflexions and doubts.

It´s not a question of competing with other associations or rivaling institutions or personal proposals already available, but, on the contrary, it´s a question of adding up, building collectively a space where those who work and are interested in matters related to the teaching and learning of History and of other social sciences, can contribute and find what other people wish to share. We try to release what is already available, and to be useful as platform to those who want to use this web to realease their work.

The initiative to create IDEHER has come from a group of secondary and universtiy teachers from different Autonomous Regions, but it is open to new incorporations that deal with some aspect related to the didactics of History and other social sciences: researchers, publications, reviews, contacts with groups or associations, news and so on.

In order to get started, the web relies on the support of Contemporary History and America History Department of Santiago de Compostela University. At this initial stage, Ramón López Facal (ramon.facal@usc.es) and Luis Velasco Martínez (luis.velasco@usc.es ), this latter responsible for the technical secretariat, will be in charge of managing it.
